ManTech's cybersecurity acquisition secures access to DISA's $12 billion IT contract

In 2008, TranTech was awarded a prime position by DISA under the ENCORE II contract, which allows companies to bid to provide up to $12 billion worth of IT services, include cybersecurity, to the Deparment of Defense, the military services, and other federal agencies.

ManTech said that TranTech will be integrated into its Technical Services Group (TSG), led by Louis M. Addeo, TSG group president and chief operating officer.

"As DISA and the U.S. Cyber Command seek to protect and secure defense networks and information, we see a substantial pipeline of opportunities to provide a full range of innovative information technology, networking and cyber solutions through the ENCORE II vehicle and other contracts," Addeo said.

ManTech expects the acquisition to contribute to growth and operating margins and be accretive to its earnings per share in 2011.

This is ManTech’s second cybersecurity acquisition in three months. In December 2010, ManTech acquired MTCSC, a Chula Vista, CA-based cybersecurity services provider to the US government, for $75 million in cash.
