Ipswitch scoops up MessageWay Solutions in latest acquisition

16 June 2010

Massachusetts-based managed file transfer (MFT) provider Ipswitch has acquired MessageWay Solutions in a bid to expand its offerings into high-value, sensitive file transfer services.

Ipswitch has obtained MessageWay, headquartered in Livonia, Mich., in what it called a strategic acquisition to strengthen its MFT solutions and offerings.

The company hopes the deal will open the door to markets that require MFT solutions for high-value and sensitive information transfer. Among the clients MessageWay currently serves: Barclays, The Travel Channel, the State of Michigan, and the United States Postal Service.

“With the addition of MessageWay to the solution portfolio, Ipswitch now provides integration of advanced analytics, multiplatform support, enterprise-wide monitoring, interoperability, and high-performance data translation”, Ipswitch said in a press release statement.

An Ipswitch spokesperson said that terms of the deal are not being disclosed.
