Known as Threatpost, the app is billed as bringing the 'online security conversations' of Kaspersky's website and notifications to the Apple iPhone.

The app is iOS4 compatible (and back to iPhone OS 3.1.3) and is billed as featuring new stories, editorials, podcasts and videocasts.

Dennis Fisher, Threatpost's co-editor, said that business people are always on the go and may not have the opportunity to sit down and read the latest security news via traditional websites.

"This is why the Threatpost iPhone application was developed. It is a single source for all of the news and information that security professionals need to stay ahead of what's happening in the industry", he said.
