NCC Group buys up security testing business

iSEC Partners, headquartered in San Francisco, will be purchased by NCC Group for the aforementioned amount and bring with it the company’s expertise in application, network, website, and database security testing. The move, said NCC Group, will provide its customers with “one-stop testing services” in both the US and Europe.

This is NCC’s fourth acquisition in IT security over the last 10 years, but the first within the US market.

“The acquisition will enable us to provide our UK customers with US security testing services whilst iSEC Partners’ customers will now have access to our European capabilities”, said Rob Cotton, chief executive of NCC Group.

A statement from NCC said that iSEC will be managed autonomously by its current management team within NCC’s Assurance Division. iSEC has 30 full-time employees, mostly testers, who are based in San Francisco, Seattle, and New York.
