Foregenix introduces PCI DSS training service

According to Foregenix, courses are available for both technical and non-technical members of staff, with a one day overview course on PCI DSS for non-technical staff to gain a better understanding of what PCI DSS compliance is and what makes a successful compliance programme.

Foregenix adds that it is also offering longer, customised, more in-depth assessment training and planning workshops aimed at PCI DSS and technical administrators.

Announcing the appointment of Philip Whitaker, who has joined the firm as a PCI DSS subject matter expert from a FTSE 100 company, Benj Hosack, a director of Foregenix, said that the process of complying with the PCI DSS regulations can be complicated and cumbersome.

"Philip's appointment has enabled us to develop a dedicated programme of training services that will help organisations to understand and manage their PCI DSS compliance and feel confident that their customer data is secure", he said.

Alongside the one-day overview course, Foregenix is offering a two-day internal assessment curse, a remediation planning workshop, and an incident response course.

This latter two-day course is billed as teaching organisations how to manage PCI DSS incident response planning.

The firm says that the course helps organisations in multi-regulated environments to be prepared for handling incidents and teaches them how to keep costs and disruptions to the business to a minimum, should an incident occur.
