Developed for Symantec, the software is free to download and – on the iPhone version – has the show schedule, show news feed and floor plan, as well as a searchable exhibitor list plus a list of exhibitors classified by category.
Also within the app is a subset of Symantec's security response services, plus a run-down on the IT security vendor's stand and facilities at the show.
Similar features can also be found on the BlackBerry app.
According to Symantec, after the show, the tool will be used to communicate Symantec market insight and important up-to-the-minute threat intelligence to smartphone users.
Announcing the smartphone app, Sarah Whipp, vice president of marketing for Symantec, said that her team is excited to be launching this innovative new application ahead of Infosecurity Europe.
"Not only will it be incredibly useful to delegates who are running from presentations to stands, and various meetings on the day, but it will also be a fantastic means for us to communicate longer-term with people who are interested in Symantec news", she said.
"After Infosecurity Europe we will use the application to share insightful Symantec blogs, articles, reports and information on events", she added.
