Description:
Previously, database attacks were most often associated with external hackers, who searched for vulnerabilities in an organisation’s database and, often using SQL injection, would steal data for malicious use.

Recent media coverage has highlighted the worrying increase in the number of security breaches that occur when employees steal confidential data for capital gain, or when a lack of policy allows staff to access inappropriate or too much information (such as downloading too many records to save to CD).

Are your staff protected from themselves?

Do you have sufficient database security in place to stop your employees from abusing their privileges and accessing data that, during normal business working, they should not? As our reliance grows on digital assets and our corporate value resides increasingly in computerised business processes and databases, the threat of confidential data loss is greater than ever before. With data and applications residing in ever more heterogeneous environments, the task of securing them becomes increasingly daunting. Proactive measures are called for, but what controls should be put into place to limit what staff can see and do with your valuable information?

This Webinar will:

• Give clear insight in to the complex and changing nature of insider threats, with a look at original research
• Show how accidental misuse can lead to disastrous consequences
• Offer proven strategies to secure your data, including practical advice on how to determine what is normal behaviour and what is an abuse of privilege
