Today's Guest Editor: Louise Öström

This Christmas Infosecurity has invited five top industry names to each fill the role of guest editor for a day, and we are delighted to introduce Louise Öström, who will be taking the reins today!

Louise is vice-president of software defined data centre (SDDC), VMware EMEA. Louise is responsible for driving the adoption of VMware NSX, vSAN, Management and Automation, the modern platform for the Software-Defined Data Center that transforms the economics of network, storage, security and operations, across EMEA.

Louise and her EMEA team work closely with product management and development teams to ensure VMware’s SDDC platform solutions deliver ROI to customers, in a world where cyber-attacks are increasing and traditional security measures are struggling to keep pace.

Prior to this role, Louise was regional director for the Nordics and Baltic’s at VMware and was responsible for driving all aspects of VMware’s business in the region.

Louise has a wealth of experience in the IT industry – having joined VMware in 2010 from a position as vice-president, Nordics at CA Technologies. Before CA, Louise was the Nordic director for Sybase as well as Advent Software. Her career in the IT industry started at IBM in Denmark where she received her sales education and successfully helped companies through BPR and IT transformation projects.

Louise will be sharing his thoughts on the industry throughout the day with an introductory video, opinion article, Q&A with the real editor Eleanor Dallaway and a Twitter takeover!
