Our client, a well-established organisation in South Wales are looking for a Senior Infrastructure Specialist to join their existing team. The right candidate will need a good level of experience working in design and support within a large scale IT environment. You will also need proven experience managing data centre development and implementation as well as delivering strategic and operational services.
The company are ideally looking for an individual who has a wide range of skills base, but who has recently channelled that experience to achieve in depth knowledge of networking architectures. This is a great opportunity for someone who is looking for a career move from a predominantly support based role to managing end to end network design projects.
Skills Required: • Degree level obtained in Management or related subject (or equivalent) • CCNP/ CCDP certification • Network Design experience • Cisco and Nexus kit • Cisco Routers and iOS • Routing Protocols (BGP, EIGRP, OSPF etc.) • Firewalls (Checkpoint/ Cisco ASA) Skills Desired: • ITIL certification • Prince 2 certification • Experience in any of the following: Windows Server 2008/ 2012, SQL Server 2008/ 2012, Linux/ UNIX, Citrix, SANs and VMware • Welsh Speaker
