Finjan introduces hybrid cloud web security

The business internet security specialist said that its new cloud offerings are pitched at major enterprises, as well as managed service providers, the new breed of ISPs that offer managed services.

Neil Stinchcombe, a spokesperson for Finjan, told Infosecurity that major enterprises are starting to "go borderless", with staff working from home or on the road, requiring employees to access data on a near-anywhere/anytime basis.

"Companies realise that they need to maintain full control of their web security and policies - both on-premise and in the cloud. They also demand that corporate data remain within the corporate boundaries and is not stored in the cloud for privacy and regulatory compliance reasons", he said.

This is where the new Finjan offerings enter the frame, with the firm's active real-time content inspection technology securing all the IP transmissions into and out of the company network, as well as across a VPN environment to the remote worker.

Vital Cloud Hybrid takes the cloud security one stage further than this by extending the security into Amazon's EC data storage platform environment and allowing Finjan's resellers to offer a cloud storage plus security package to their customers.
