Infosecurity Europe Launches 'Intelligent Security' Industry Survey

Written by

A new industry survey launched today by Infosecurity Europe will highlight key strategies, tactics and techniques used by businesses to bolster their security and ensure they effectively detect, respond and recover from attacks. Entitled ‘Intelligent security: Protect. Detect. Respond. Recover’, the survey targets global security professionals with questions designed to identify today’s major trends, challenges and common practices.

The results, to be published in March 2015, will offer free insight on a range of issues, including the biggest risks and priorities facing the industry; how organisations are protecting themselves; how long it takes to detect breaches; whether organizations have the structure in place to respond and recover rapidly; and whether companies are shifting their focus to give more priority to incident response over prevention.

The theme of the survey is based on research carried out by Infosecurity Europe to determine a subject that encapsulates the pressures, threats and priorities that are most relevant in the current industry landscape.

Commenting on the intelligent security theme, Victoria Windsor, content manager at Infosecurity Group, said, “No longer is information security just about protecting the network against attacks – it is about building resilience within an organization to ensure measures are in place to respond and recover rapidly to minimize business impact in the event of a breach.”

The survey is available in English, German and French and is open to participants until 19 January 2015. Participation is anonymous and data will only be used to distribute the report to participants.

‘Intelligent security: Protect. Detect. Respond. Recover’ is also the core event theme for Infosecurity Europe 2015, to be held at London’s Olympia from 2-4 June. The event is Europe’s leading free-to-attend information security conference and exhibition, serving as a focal point for the industry and providing a showcase for the latest technology, service solutions and educational programs.
