MBA in cybersecurity launched

The cybersecurity MBA, to be offered as part of an extended study program, is designed to equip participants for a career in the classified government sector, although it will also be useful for those seeking non-classified work. Applicants for the MBA in cybersecurity must be eligible for US Government security clearance.

There will be three classes in the MBA cybersecurity program. The first will be offered at the University of Dayton, with the following two at ATIC.

The first class will cover the principles of information security management. The other two will take in telecommunication and network systems management, and internet security management. The latter two classes are classified, and will cover basic hardware components and operating systems, data integrity, message routing, and network resource management. Defensive and offensive techniques will be covered in this MBA for cybersecurity program, along with psychological operations and ecommerce security.

ATIC is a non-profit organization based in Ohio. It was established in 2006, and is focused on developing professionals who are able to work in the technology sector. It already offers a certificate in advanced technical intelligence, which is to be offered as an associate's degree at the region's Sinclair Community College, beginning in March. Graduates of the certificate program are now working in companies including CACI, General Dynamics, MacAulay Brown, Ball Aerospace, and Riverside Research Institute, the Center said.
