Sticky Password released for the Apple iPhone - more editions soon

According to the firm, iPhone users are sure to appreciate the new app, which has a great interface and is included as a free bonus for all users of trial or paid versions of Sticky Password for desktops.

Petr Bilek, Lamantine Software's CEO, said that his customers have been letting the firm know that the iPhone edition was something they needed, and now Lamantine has delivered on these requests. “It's the first of many steps we are planning in terms of expansion to new platforms”, he noted.

First released for the Windows platform in 2001, Sticky Password uses an encrypted approach to password storage and automated logons and, says the firm, provides effective protection against phishing schemes, concealed key-loggers and identity theft.

Each license, says Lamantine Software, also includes the Sticky Password portable version for use on a memory device like a USB flash memory stick.

Sticky Password for iPhone, which is now available on Apple iTunes , requires iOS 4.0 or later , and in its initial version, Infosecurity notes, operates in a read-only mode on the Apple handset, meaning that no new data can be stored on the iPhone within the software.
