Video interview: Experts discuss state-sponsored cyber attacks

At the recent Infosecurity Europe conference in London, Drew Amorosi was joined by representatives of ISACA (Peter Wood), the SANS Institute (Eric Cole), and City University London (David Stupples) for a discussion on state-sponsored cyber activities. The panel considers nations that are active in this area, the information they are targeting, and why. Also discussed are legal frameworks and the recently published Tallinn Manual on the International Law Applicable to Cyber Warfare.

The panel concludes that, contrary to assertions by the US government and other recent reports, China is not the only nation-state active in this arena – any nation with a viable capability can be found battling it out on the cyber front.
