Skybox Security’s VP of Marketing recently sat down with Eleanor Dallaway, as the two discussed vulnerability management on Infosecurity’s stand during last week’s Infosecurity Europe 2013 show. Johnson Cobb evaluates the California-based software company’s mission as helping large organizations “understand their security risks, and coming up with ways to find them, prioritize them, and deal with them every day”.
The Skybox Security VP said organizations face their biggest challenge in prioritizing vulnerability information and culling this in an effective manner from hundreds of sources. A related problem lies in incorporating this information within an organization’s processes so they can determine which vulnerabilities pose the highest risk.
Johnson Cobb then provides insight into key areas required to promote an effective vulnerability management program. “It’s time to re-invent the process”, she concluded.
