Are You Covered? Ransomware, CEO Fraud and Cyber Insurance

Waves of high-profile breaches and new breach notification legislations are setting the scene for a huge growth in cyber insurance take-up, but do organizations know what is, and what isn't, covered?

Recent research into cyber insurance policies found that 45% of firms with cyber insurance are unsure if their policy is up-to-date whilst only 43% of firms with cyber insurance are confident that their policies would pay out for "whaling" financial transactions targeting CEOs. What’s more, as many as 64% of firms have no cyber insurance at all.

Of course, insurance is no ‘cure-all’ and every organization should review their cyber insurance policies regularly and tie it in with regular employee training on the latest threats, and appropriate technology safeguards.

In this webinar, we will look at:

  • What cyber insurance can, and cannot, cover
  • Does your policy cover the cost of downtime when struck by ransomware?
  • If you pay out to a fake CEO email, what are your rights?
  • How to ensure insurance works in tandem with existing information security measures.
