Security is difficult because data is not static. Even apart from its measurable qualities – format, content, length and so on – it has meaning. Data can change its security requirements in the blink of an eye, as soon as a business decision is made with it, or the minute it’s combined with different data.

At this point in our society’s evolution, data is becoming an increasingly more dangerous, explosive mixture.

In this keynote address, information security pioneer Wendy Nather will explore the chemistry of data and outline what we must discover about it if we are to truly use it safely.

Key takeaways:

  • The power of data, for good and bad
  • Creating ‘formulas’ for your data’s security requirements
  • Driving a data-centric security approach
