Companies in the US are meeting new security and privacy regulations head on and they’re ready for more. When it arrives, though, they’d like more clarity. They find today’s regulations confusing and contradictory, and want federal legislation that cuts through the whole tangled mess.

That was the message from a survey of 106 senior IT executives that Infosecurity conducted in 2018. Decision makers across the US were interviewed to gauge their preparedness for privacy and security regulations. The results unearthed a community that is actively responding to regulatory changes and positively embracing it.

This whitepaper discusses the following:

  • How to be ready for a regulatory challenge
  • How the regulation has affected the US and are in need of a general data protection regulation
  • A clear path to smoother regulation
