This new cyber defense maturity report is based on survey results collected  and analyzed by IDG Connect, and reveals a range of areas that are ripe for improvement as well as incident and control trends and operational confidence.

Key findings reveal that more than 96 percent of organizations experienced a significant IT security incident in the past year., and that the majority of IT organizations are aware that some of their security measures are immature or ineffective, but only 33 percent have high confidence in the likelihood that their organizations will improve their less mature security controls.

While confidence in IT security management appears optimistic, overall findings showed a contradiction in efficacy and likely investment compared to where incidents have been most impactful. The full report provides a detailed view of these findings.
