White Hat Rally sets off for Amsterdam for Barnardo’s

Participants in this year's White Hat Rally set off from Folkestone in the early hours of this morning to begin their adventure into the unknown.

The White Hat Rally is a non-competitive motor sports event now in its sixth year.  Starting in 2009 with the “Italian Job”, the event has gone from strength to strength and in 2013 the rally’s “Pieces of V8” event, raised it's largest sum yet for Barnardos of £45,000. With over £152,000 donated so far for NSCPP Child Line and Barnardo’s White Hat Rally is a committed organisation who have helped many children over the years.

The rally embodies a spirit of adventure in those that take part, whilst having a sense of humour and four wheels are key components to completing the challenge of crossing the finishing line. Dressing up - the team, car or both - is positively encouraged for this wacky race, as is variety in the type of vehicle that you join us in - super car, banger, ambulance - if it has 4 wheels its pedal to the metal time. But, it isn’t all about the drive time, the long weekend includes opportunities to network with new and interesting people and take part in activities such as tractor driving, sumo wrestling and quad biking.

This year’s participants will be donning their capes and fangs to combat  “the rise of the dark net.” Amsterdamned takes place on 19-21st September and there’s still time to donate. If you are interested in taking part next year please contact us .

No Advanced driving skills or special licenses are required to join in this fun filled event!
