Government to Buy (ISC)2 Certifications Under GSA Schedule

(ISC)² has announced that its certification exam vouchers and training courses are now available to government buyers through GSA IT Schedule 70.

Under contract #GS-35F-195DA, federal and state/local agencies can take advantage of pre-approved pricing to advance the skills of their information technology (IT) workforce with classroom-based, live online and private on-site training for (ISC)²’s industry-leading certifications.

The Certified Authorization Professional (CAP), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) and related concentrations, Certified Secure Software Lifecycle Professional (CSSLP), HealthCare Information Security and Privacy Practitioner (HCISPP) and Systems Security Certified Practitioner (SSCP) credentials are all available under the award. Both (ISC)² annual maintenance fee (AMF) vouchers and official courseware kits will be added to the schedule in the coming months.

“With our certification training and exam vouchers now available on GSA Schedule, not only can government agencies buy direct with discounted pricing, but they also have direct access to (ISC)² staff who can customize a cyber-workforce plan that is aligned with industry leading certifications and training,” said Dan Waddell, (ISC)² managing director, North America Region, and director, US Government Affairs. “Our aim is to assist agencies that have a broad range of cyber-training needs to establish a programmatic approach, which will ultimately help the government in solving its cyber-workforce shortage.”

The government has invested significant resources in its efforts to meet the demand for skilled cybersecurity professionals, including the recent release of its first-ever Federal Cybersecurity Workforce Strategy, its ongoing efforts to develop the NICE Workforce Framework and the current updating of Department of Defense Mandate 8140/8570.
