Anthony Long is Vice President, Strategic Solutions Architect at LRQA, and a senior leader within its Cyber Division. In this role, he leads strategic advisory engagements and supports global growth by shaping complex cyber and operational resilience solutions for major clients across financial services, government, energy, and critical infrastructure sectors.
Anthony is a former regulator, having previously served as a senior advisor at the Bank of England, where he played a key role in the development and implementation of the pioneering CBEST framework. This experience provides him with a deep understanding of supervisory expectations, regulatory intent, and how resilience is assessed in practice.
He works at the intersection of strategy, regulation, and technical delivery, translating complex risk landscapes into practical, scalable solutions that align cyber resilience with business objectives. He plays a central role in helping organisations design and implement intelligence-led security, threat-led testing, and operational resilience programmes aligned with regulatory expectations.
Anthony brings extensive experience in supporting organisations to strengthen their preparedness for cyber and operational disruption. This includes helping leadership teams refine governance, improve coordination across functions, and build confidence in their ability to respond effectively to incidents. His work increasingly focuses on the resilience of complex ecosystems, addressing third-party risk, supply chain exposure, and critical dependencies, to ensure organisations understand where risk is inherited and how it can be proactively managed.
With more than two decades of experience across cyber strategy, threat intelligence, fraud prevention, operational resilience, and risk management, Anthony has helped shape the global evolution of intelligence-led testing and resilience programmes used across financial systems and critical sectors.
Today, he advises governments, regulators, and global enterprises on strengthening cyber and operational resilience. He is recognised for his ability to bridge board-level strategy with real-world adversary perspectives—helping organisations move beyond compliance towards sustainable, intelligence-driven security and effective resilience outcomes.
