Walt Powell is an executive coach, cybersecurity strategist and pioneer of the field CISO role. As a founding member of the Global Security Strategy Office at CDW, he leads a team of former executive CISOs who advise clients across industries, drawing on insights from hundreds of security programs.

Walt is the author of The CISO 3.0, a guide to next-generation cybersecurity leadership, and Quantum Ready, an enterprise roadmap for preparing for post-quantum encryption. Walt also runs the 'CISO Guide To..." series on LinkedIn and contributes to the Cybersecurity Canon Committee and the IEEE P1947 working group for quantum security standards.
