From Vulnerability Volume to Verified Risk: How CISOs Can Decide What to Fix First

Security teams face a growing volume of vulnerability findings, yet one question remains difficult: what should they fix first?

Severity scores offer useful context, but they rarely tell the full story of whether an exposure is exploitable, how an attacker could move through an environment, or which critical assets are at risk.

This session explores a practical, evidence-driven approach to vulnerability prioritization. We will examine how exploit validation, attack-path analysis, and business criticality help security leaders distinguish urgent risks from noisy backlogs and focus remediation effort where it matters most.

Through an illustrative scenario and a brief platform walkthrough, attendees will see how individual findings can be connected to real attack opportunities, translated into prioritized actions, and reassessed after remediation.

The goal is to move beyond counting vulnerabilities toward making defensible security decisions and verifying that the actions taken meaningfully reduce exposure across enterprise environments as exposure changes over time.
