Pilgrim Beart

Pilgrim Beart is a technology innovator with an impressive track record. He began his career in engineering startups in Cambridge, Oxford and Silicon Valley and then went on to found several start-ups focused on connected products including AlertMe, which put millions of connected energy devices into homes in the USA and UK. AlertMe was bought by British Gas for $100m in 2015 and is now known as Hive.

An earlier Pilgrim startup was Antenova, founded in 1999, which went on to ship billions of multi-band smartphone antenna systems. Pilgrim has spoken widely about his experiences in startups, including giving a TED-X talk. Pilgrim is a Fellow of the IET, was Visiting Industrial Fellow at Cambridge Computer Laboratory (2012-2013), and holds a degree in Computer Engineering.
