Stuart spent nine years in the British military and became an expert in risk and crisis Management.
After four years working at KPMG, he was a founding team member of Crossword Cybersecurity and helped build the company to 65+ people and expand internationally. he launched their launched their cybersecurity consulting business and provided advisory services to cybersecurity professionals, executive teams and boards on how companies should improve their cybersecurity posture.
He joined SysGroup as head of Cybersecurity, following their acquisition of Crossword Consulting and is now COO at SysGroup.
Stuart is an industry thought leader and have been featured in publications including Infosecurity Magazine, FinTech Futures, and Intelligent CISO, and has been interviewed by the print and digital media and have featured on several podcasts. He is a regular speaker on cybersecurity, emerging threats including AI security, crisis management and entrepreneurship.
He is publishing a book 'Cybersecurity for Executives - Bridging the Security Gap' which provides non-technical advice pragmatic and jargon free advice on how to manage cybersecurity risks in their organisations. The book is due out in early 2026.
