Tom Heiser is well-established in the information security industry as an innovative strategist with a proven track record of developing and leading successful global businesses. Cyber-Ark said it will draw on Heiser’s experience at RSA to support the company’s growth.

Cyber-Ark provides privileged identity and session management solutions and has experienced year-over-year revenue growth of more than 30%. The firm said it plans to leverage Heiser’s experience to accelerate growth, penetrate new markets, and bolster strategic partnerships.

“As Cyber-Ark moves into its next phase of growth, I am excited to welcome Tom to Cyber-Ark’s Board of Directors,” commented Udi Mokady, president and CEO of Cyber-Ark, in a press release statement. “Tom's amazing track record of leading global initiatives, launching new categories and his strategic guidance will help us further expand our leadership position and drive continued growth for the company.”

Heiser, who originally joined EMC in 1984 as the company’s fourteenth employee, has served the company in a number of strategic business, management and sales capacities for more than 25 years. Currently the president of RSA, he oversees all aspects of the division’s business operations. “It is no surprise that Cyber-Ark is one of the fastest-growing companies in the IT security industry, with innovative products that solve real customer problems and a talented team with deep domain expertise,” Heiser noted in the same release. “Information security is evolving and Cyber-Ark’s approach to security, which assumes the attacker is already on the inside, is critical for protecting against modern-day cyber-attacks….I am thrilled to join Cyber-Ark’s Board of Directors to help guide the company through the immensely exciting opportunities ahead.”
