Doug Roberts is the Vice President and General Manager for the Enterprise and Cloud Business Unit at Viavi Solutions.
As the leader of Viavi’s Enterprise business, Roberts has been instrumental in developing the next generation of network and application performance products for the company.
He brings more than 23 years of IT experience to Viavi’s leadership team, having served in various technical management, business transformation, and product innovation roles. Roberts is an active member in the IETF, IEEE PCS, and APM Forum, with seven patents (issued & pending) in the areas of response time measurement, big data analytics, and application efficiency measurement logic.
Roberts has provided his expertise in network troubleshooting and application performance monitoring to the world’s largest service providers and enterprise IT professionals through speaking presentations and keynotes at many industry events, including Interop, CiscoLive, TechNet, and Amazon’s re:Invent. Prior to joining Viavi, Roberts held the position of Associate Vice President, Enterprise Products, with Netscout.
Roberts concluded his undergraduate work in both Computer Engineering and Business Management at The Georgia Institute of Technology and Mercer University. In addition to his undergraduate work, he also holds an MBA from Mercer University, and is completing his PhD work through the University of Liverpool. Roberts holds a myriad of industry certifications such as CISCO CCIE, Sniffer Certified Expert, and Six Sigma Black Belt.
