Maintaining payment security is required for all entities that store, process or transmit cardholder data. Guidance for maintaining payment security is provided in PCI Data Security Standard (PCI DSS). The PCI Security Standards Council operates programs to train, test, and qualify organizations and individuals who assess and validate compliance, in order to help merchants successfully implement PCI standards and solutions - with training programs available for novice to experienced industry veterans.
The Council also offers the opportunity to become a PCI stakeholder and help influence the direction of PCI Data Security Standards. As a Participating Organization, you can help reduce threats to payment security -- it’s only with your help and active engagement that we can drive security standards to higher levels of strength and adoption.
