The two companies have linked the enterprise IT management products from CA Technologies with GRC software from the SAP Business Objects portfolio to provide businesses with continuous monitoring of IT control and risk metrics.
The tools are designed to link IT more closely with general business GRC.
According to SAP and CA, enterprises around the globe operate IT processes covering areas such as security, availability, infrastructure and IT project management. These processes support the core business processes that organisations use to operate successfully, including procure-to-pay, order-to-cash and hire-to-retire.
However, the management of risk and compliance around IT processes – IT GRC – remains quite distinct and separate from the risk and compliance issues related to business processes.
Initially IT GRC products will focus on continuously monitoring security, IT project and portfolio management, and assuring service performance.
CA Enterprise Log Manager, CA Clarity PPM, and CA Wily Application Performance Management will provide data that can be accessed by SAP Busines sObjects Risk Management and SAP Business Objects Process Control applications to map into the IT and business frameworks.
