Dr. Georgianna Shea is Chief Technologist at the Foundation for Defense of Democracies (FDD), where she leads work on cybersecurity, critical infrastructure, and emerging technology through the Center on Cyber and Technology Innovation and Transformative Cyber Innovation Lab.

She is co-author of Post-Quantum Leadership: Knowledge and Practical Perspectives on Post-Quantum Readiness and has advised senior government leaders on cybersecurity policy, including as a member of the President’s Council of Advisors on Science and Technology Working Group on Cyber-Physical Systems Resilience.

A 20-year cybersecurity practitioner, Dr. Shea has built and secured national security systems and supported the Defense Intelligence Agency, Department of War, Department of Energy, and the Department of Justice. She holds a Doctor of Computer Science in Information Assurance, is a CISSP, and is a US Army veteran.
