VP of ActiveIntelligence, Alert Logic

Scott Lambert is the VP of ActiveIntelligence for Alert Logic where he leads a team of highly skilled threat intelligence researchers and data scientists. In this role, Lambert is responsible for leading and driving efforts to develop innovative detection methods and actionable intelligence for threats that target both Cloud and hosted Data Center environments.    

Prior to Alert Logic, Lambert was the VP of Security Research and Customer Delivery at Click Security where he led a team of threat hunters and data scientists who provided Tier 3 analysis and investigation services. They utilized their knowledge to develop, tune and implement threat detection and investigative analytics specific to a customer’s environment and the sectors they operate in. 

During his time at HP, Lambert was the director of Threat Research for HP Security Research (HPSR) where he was responsible for developing and driving the overall threat research strategy in the domains of malware, vulnerability and rapid threat information exchange. This included the Zero Day Initiative (ZDI) program, which augmented DVLabs with zero-day research by a growing network of researchers in the IT community at large. 

In addition he has developed, maintained and supported numerous computer security applications ranging from vulnerability assessment and risk management software to network and host-based intrusion detection/prevention systems, and related technologies for companies such as L-3 Network Security, Veridian Information Solutions, Symantec Corporation and Microsoft.
