Chief Scientist, Sophos

Joshua Saxe is chief scientist at next-generation cybersecurity leader Sophos. He’s the author, with Hillary Sanders, of the book Malware Data Science, from No Starch Press, and is a principal inventor of Sophos’ neural network–based malware detection technology, which defends tens of millions of Sophos customers from malware infections. Before joining Sophos, Joshua spent five years leading DARPA-funded security data research projects for the US government.
