Cyber Security Challenge submission deadline extended by two weeks

Now in its third year, the annual CSC seeks and rewards the year’s top cyber security solutions, this year focusing on data leakage. The extension of this year’s deadline allows the competition to receive a higher number of top-quality innovations, staying true to the competition’s chief purpose.

Startups, concept or university projects and individuals with a good idea on how to tackle the problem of DLP from around the world are invited to enter, competing for prize funds with a total value of $10,000. The CSC is not limited to traditional cyber security companies, innovators from other sectors are strongly encouraged to apply. Products/ideas must be original, innovative and solve the problem statement. With only four simple questions to answer, all those with a good idea are welcome to enter.

The Cyber Security Challenge offers unique opportunities for people developing their ideas as they are encouraged to enter with just a solid idea and are not required to have a developed product. It is one of OmniCompete’s competitions that incubates the most cutting-edge ideas. Innovators are offered unprecedented exposure, feedback from expert judges, and the chance to present live to industry, government and investors at the global final in London on 25th October.

Submissions can be made online http://www.omnicompete.com/Cyber_Security,competition-32 until 05 Sept 2011, at 23.59 PDT/PST.
