EEMA announces details of November ISSE event

The annual event, which is operated wholly by EEMA, is billed as the only independent, interdisciplinary IT security conference and exhibition in Europe.

This – the 13th annual ISSE – is being hosted by the Czech Chamber of Commerce and Ministry of the Interior of the Czech Republic, and is supported by the European Commission, ENISA and TeleTrust.

According to EEMA, this year will see the event hosting more than 60 individual educational workshops and seminars across four separate tracks, focusing on issues surrounding cloud computing security, mobile and wireless security, cybercrime and cyberwar, device and network security, e-ID/e-Government, access, trust and privacy.

Announcing the plans for the November event, Roger Dean, EEMA's executive director, said that, at last year's Berlin ISSE, we were joined by more than 400 delegates, making it our most successful conference to date.

“This year we are looking forward to welcoming even more security professionals to Prague”, he said, adding that security professionals today are faced with a global threat landscape that continues to grow in scale and sophistication.

“In addition, they need to meet user expectations for instant and secure access to applications, data and services from any device at any time, without being slowed down by a lengthy authentication process, or compromising network security. All of these issues and more will be discussed at ISSE 2011”, he noted.
