According to the order, which was placed under the Air Force’s $9 billion Network Centric Solutions (NETCENTS) contract vehicle, Telos will provide cybersecurity staff for DMDC security engineering and security operations, as well as maintain the accreditation of DMDC infrastructure, information systems, applications, and automated tools in accordance with federal information security regulations.
Telos cybersecurity experts will also assist DMDC in analyzing network architecture designs, evaluate new technologies, recommend security enhancements, and monitor and respond to cybersecurity events.
NETCENTS is an indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity contract that provides the Air Force, the Department of Defense (DoD), and other federal agencies with a single contract vehicle through which to buy information technologies, networking equipment, and services, as well as voice, video and data communications hardware and software and telephony products and services from prime contractors.
The DMDC serves as the DoD's central source to identify, authenticate, authorize, and provide information on DoD personnel, as well as information on entitlements, benefits, and medical readiness for uniformed services’ members, veterans and their families.
In addition to the cybersecurity consulting work, Telos provides DMDC’s Common Access Card (CAC) printer supplies and inventory management services to support its identity protection and management programs under a separate five-year, $160 million contract.
