18 January 2010

With the rapid ascendance of laptops, netbooks and smartphones, almost every organisation is having to adapt its IT security systems and procedures to meet the needs of an increasingly mobile workforce.

But adapting and augmenting existing IT security systems costs money - something that few organisations welcome in these economically straightened times.

Infosecurity is pleased to be hosting a topical webinar on Tuesday  - entitled `Enhancing your end point security on a tight budget' - at which a panel of experts will look at some of the problems and solutions to this budget-driven security issue.

Rolf von Roessing, a security advisor with a major bank and international vice president of ISACA, the not-for-profit IT security association, will explain some of the problems the modern IT security manager faces in the increasingly mobile end point security environment.

Joining Rolf will be Richard Betts, technical director of BigFix, an IT security specialist that focuses on reducing the cost and complexity of managing networked desktop, mobile, and server computers, will be looking at some of the solutions available to meet the needs of the changing end point security landscape.

Rounding out our the panel will be Steve Gold, technical editor with Infosecurity.
