FaceTime eliminates URL filtering fees as v2.0 gateway released

With its Forget the Fees programme, the Unified Communications security specialist claims that a 1,000-seat organisation can save up to $35,000 over a two year contract, whilst at the same time deploying a more comprehensive secure Web gateway.
Nick Sears, FaceTime's vice president of EMEA operations, says that although URL filtering has become a feature of broader secure web gateway products, the associated fees remain an annual expense and a significant budget requirement for most companies.
With the Forget the Fees program, he adds, organisations can not only more easily afford to monitor Web browsing traffic, but also control Web 2.0 applications, block malware at the gateway and enable the secure use of Unified Communications.
Companies interested in the offer have until the end of April to agree a URL fee-free contract.
