Visiongain said it expects an increase in public-private partnerships across a number of cybersecurity sectors, while technological developments are also projected to evolve to reflect the changing dynamics of cyber threats and the increased demands placed on applications and devices by end users.

National cybersecurity markets for the US and major European countries will remain central to the cybersecurity market over the forecast period to 2022. Similar growth in Asian markets, such as China and India, is forecast to be significant, while in the longer term, Middle Eastern spending on cybersecurity is expected to increase sharply, as cybersecurity is demanded worldwide.

Cybersecurity vendors must now protect their clients from a range of intrusive behaviors, including phishing email scams, advanced persistent threats, distributed denial of service, and other malicious malware and viruses, Visiongain warned.

The firm provides forecasts for the period 2012–2022 in terms of dollar value for the global cybersecurity market, as well as for four sectors (military, government, vital infrastructures, and private sector) and seven submarkets (network security, security operations, data security, identity and access, endpoint security, application security, and cloud security).
