PCI DSS webinar this Thursday afternoon

Dr. Eugene Schultz, the chief technology officer with Emagined Security will be explaining the ABCs of the PCI DSS standard and how organisations that accept debit and credit card transactions can meet the requirements of the Payments Security Standards Council.

Along the way he will explain the 12 compliance areas that IT security staff and their managers need to focus on, as well as how the PCI DSS standard is continuing to evolve.

Joining Eugene will be David McNeely, director of product management with Centrify Corporation, the sponsor of the webinar.

David will be at the issues associated with implementing - and meeting PCI DSS compliance - on Unix and Linux platforms.

As part of his presentation, he will explain how it is possible to encrypt data that is in motion without the need to modify older applications, as well as the principle of enforcing least access when it comes to account privileges.
